    Default SDA-1A x-over rebuild.

Since I have relieved that poor gentleman of the burden of having two sets of SDA's, I've become curious about the upgrades you lunatics keep talking about. If there is a schematic and a parts list, I'd like to do an A-B test on them. One tweaked with tweets and X-over and one stock, same amps and source.
Any and all help is welcome. I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron, so no worries there.
And I promise not to Judge
    Thanks again
    Russ

Plenty of threads on this topic. Not too much new to add to all of them. I did a pair with Sonicaps, Axon's, low noise resistors and new binding posts a while back. The Sonicaps are worth it, as are the new tweets.

The schematics are listed on the forum.

Where? Searched and can't find it. Not the best at doing exact searches.
    Thanks F1

No problem, we all have times where we can't find what's right under our noses.

I've got a big nose. I've gone through this thread before. Are these the Polk specs or the tweak specs? I'm just trying to differentiate between the two (4,6,8) versions I've seen, that's all.
    Thanks

that link is for the original schematics for Polk SDA's among other Polk speakers.

what tweaks are you talking about? rebuilding the crossover's in your speakers is not a tweak, it's an update to the original crossovers.

Look at post #6 here. I skipped the 750pf caps as they are deemed unnecessary when you significantly increase the quality of the high frequency circuit caps (I used Sonicaps). For the 20 and 39 uF caps, I used Solen/Alon - they are basically the same. All the caps came from Sonicraft. Resistors, binding posts from partsexpress. Polyswitches from Polk.

#6 where? Missing link? Found the schematics, just need a parts list.
    Thanks for the insight again.

Russ, I can't read some of the values on the schematic for your speakers. You're going to have to pull out one of your crossovers to read the values printed on the caps and resistors.
