    Default XM Radio

So - over the last few days I plugged up my XM radio and was shocked by the sound quality. I don't know what has changed in my system, but XM sounds great!

Anybody else here find the same with XM?

Anyone notice Polk just released a Serius tuner? I saw it in the latest Crutchfield sale catalog. I don't see it on Polk's or Crutchfields websites.

I'm running XM through the FM mod in the car and I did notice a slight difference in the highs: highs seem less compressed sounding lately.

XM did some tweaks back in August. Do a search, you'll see the specifics...

    Source: C.E.C. CD-3300 CD Transport
    DAC: Benchmark DAC/PRE
    Linestage: Placette Audio Passive
    Power Amp: Parasound HCA-1500A
    Speakers: Harbeth Compact 7ES-3 Monitor

Stop dissecting and start listening. - Steve in Arizona

Same here. I notice much less compression in the highs and less of the "swirly MP3-like" sound.
