advice on a pioneer sub

Guys i love polk audio, and i have polk on my accord, but i also have a civic, its my other ride.

i dont have too much audio in that one, and now i want to buy a sub for that car, i dont need too much SQ or power and i dont want to spend too much money, I just want it to sound "good".

On my civic i have..

Alpine HU
Pioneer TS-C1653 in the front
Pioneer TS-A6962R in the back

and i want to buy:

Pioneer GM-5300T Amp (380x1 RMS)
Pioneer Premier TS-SW1241D Subwoofer (350 RMS)
and a Cutum slim sealed enclosure.

I like the Sub, becouse is too slim, and it can be fitted, in a dead space, between the back seat and the rear strut bar, and its very important for me, to have as much space in the trunk as possible

what do you guys think?

is it a good sub? its not expensive, and i can find it easily here in mexico city, but i dont want to buy it, if its bad.

and is it 350 RMS enough for my civic? the inside speakers are running on the HUs power.

K so i installed it into a ford Ranger regular cab, its got a tiny cabin. hes got 300 watts running into it, It his pretty hard, sounds clean and is overall a good filler for your system. his is just the pioneer one, not the premier im sure that the premier will be a little more powerfull, but really i dont know if its what u are looking for.

I myself drive a civic and i have 2 10" momos, the only part of my install workign correctly at this time and they are the perfect amount of bang for me. if u like a lot of bass i would say try to find a diffrent sub, or perhaps use 2 of them...

i buy it yesterday, trough "Pioneer of Mexico" its the premier, and i also buy the Pioneer AMP 380 W RMS, with a bass booster..

the sub cost me arround 93 DLS, and 150 DLS for the amp, and i buy them becouse there was a big sale, yesterday of pioneer products here on mexico..

Actually the AMP was out of stock so i will have to wait 5 days until they send it to my home.

and since Pioneer speakers are made in mexico, we can have sometimes amazing prices here, instead of polk audio where theres only one company who sells it, and the import them from the states, so the price is bigger.

And all of this is for my civic, "my daily car"

The car with polk audio is my accord, and thats the one i most enjoy

and thats going to have the Alpine PDX-1.1000 AMP and one Polk Audio SR124-DVC on a sealed enclosure

i dont think i can have a good opinion on subs, im new at that..

but from 15 to 22 sounds very good for my taste, not great, but i think its an exelent choice for the price and for the size enclosure..

the amp is a pioneer GM5300T (380W RMS @ 4 Ohms)

the cross over is 20 ~ 80 Hz on the Sub (slope 12) and 6Db boost @ 50 Hz

the inside speakers are 80 ~ UP with a boost on 12.5Khz

I live in Mexico, so we dont have the "Premier" Brand, So we have Premier Models as Pioneer...

Here all the companies, pays a lot of money in taxes, So its easier to "pioneer of Mexico" to sell the product as Pioneer, its a tax issue...

yeah you are right i recently turned off, it sounded like a ported box, now it sounds more natural, so its better, thanks for the advice Mc.

i recently made another MDF front wall just for the sub and the MDF be at the same level, for a better look

and also i bought a black vinil sticker, and i made a aluminum pioneer sticker, what do you think of this?







Im thinking to do the same on my Polk Audio enclosure, but the other one is going to be silver (my other car is silver) and the polk audio sticker, red and black.

the black vinil, silver vinil 2 pioneer stickers and 2 polk audio stickers for less than 10 DLS.

what do you think???

looks pretty good, i think it woulda looked better with a matte finish so it wasnt so shiney.

the vinyl sticker is cheap, so i would go again and look for a mate finish, and see how it looks.
