how to attach video file

did my search here and hoping for some directions or is it feasible? It's in wmv file mode.

I believe it has to be hosted somewhere such as YouTube or Myspace first. Then you can posted the "embedded" code here. If I remember correctly, this only works in certain parts of the forum, such as "The Clubhouse".

Yeah you certainly don't want to attach it - it would be huge. Upload it to youtube or google video and link to it.

FYI, most forums won't let you attach a video file.

But I say this that code is for IE and everything else. The PARAM files are for IE the Embed line is for the everything else.


BTW I just spotted an error on the Embed line

Ok this is the answer.

Just copy this line, but change the width and height values to what your video is.

Ok this is the fun one you can say true and it will load automatically when someone hits the page.

Ok this is what everything but IE needs every line is the same but list as 0 for false and 1 for true.

But note the SRC line this is the error I copy this from a webpage I put together and didn't change to line to the http://www. thing as above. This webpage must likely doesn't have a videos directory and then most likely doesn't have a 4dtvbb.wmv file but I be interest if they did ;)

Think you got it, but 2 things...

1. With embed only this will show on non IE browsers only.

2. It's been stated that it only works in clubhouse area of this board.

Thanks Steve, not that I'm an HTML wiz, but the vB is a bit different. I suppose I could revive some dusty Clubhouse thread from 7 years ago, to see if it will work. Just tooling around.

One simple line does it in IE, but I was using FF, and I'm not accustomed to vB, so I thought it was wasn't working, but it is. Thanks for the reminder about the browser difference as well as the vB, HTML difference.
