    Cool Optical vs Coax?

Just getting into separates (Rotel pre/pro to Rotel amp) My DVD/CD player has optical and coax digital out. Which do you think I should select to hook up to the pre/pro? I read somewhere that coax can have RF interference but I wouldn't think that would "damage" the digital data going to the pre/pro.

    Thanks.

If you're going HD DVD / Bluray, connect your 5.1 analog or HDMI so you can take advantage of Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTSHD MA.
