    Default Cable for 1.2TL's?

Thanks for the response on my first post, I have a lot to learn about these gems! first order of business is to get a interconnect cable for these. What's the best course of action?
How do I order the Compendium book?
Do I keep these OEM or go custom?
Couple of the Tweets sound out of whack, is that common?
And thanks for all the good comments about my lucky find on these last night and today.

Again, the first order of business is to figure out which model you have. Can you help us with that?

A picture would be really helpful...If he is sure these are tl's ( Pin/Blade...Sl3000 tweeters ) then it should be really simple...if he isnt sure ...then we go to the ohm meter and IC/Tweeter config to see what version SRS, 1.2's these are. Shoot a front and rear pic for us por favor

Default Pics on my 12/13/07 show up

I can't seem to get the pics to show up on this reply, they are on my post from the 13th. They are ok pics, will this be enough for specifying how to do the interconnect cable..

you have to resize or crop the pictures slighty and rename them and then you can re-post them. the forum will only let you post the same picture once.

What does the IC cable connector look like?

    Like this one:

    Or this one:

If it looks like the top one then Call Polk customer Service and ask Ken for a Blade / Blade Interconnect cable. They cost around $35

If it looks like the bottom picture then all you need right now is (1) piece of solid electrical cable 10 to 12 gauge thick., 15 feet long (or long enough to connect between the two speakers) and then strip back 1" of the insulation, take a small piece of sand paper and clean the 1" of stripped back cable thoroughly so that it's nice and shinny.

Stick each side of the wire into the top round connection and you are good. The blade connection on the bottom connector is there to only support the pin. To make sure it does not move.

If you do have the second connector you take an RCA cable and rip off the outside contact and leave just the pin. I just made this one from a cable I had, it took 7 seconds to make.

I tested the fit and it fits perfectly.

The blade of the blade/pin connector is the second conductor for the AI-1 isolation transformer.

That is correct. If you check the back plate you will see that the blade is wired to the bottom negative post which is where the SDA array comes off of.

    Default I Put Cable together

I took video RCA gold heavy gauge for round pin, then took standard RCA and flattend with hammer just so it fits snug into the flat pin space. It seems to work well. Great advice!!!!!!
Now for the tweeters, it sounds like I have a bad one in the right, sounds like it has static in it. Is that an indication of a blown tweeter(SL 3000). If I go through each one do I test it through something as small as an ipod? or just run off my system at low volume. Thanks again for the finer points on getting these beauties sounding the way they should.
