Default Audiosource Tripath Class "T" Amp

I just bought one of these amps on eBay and was wondering if anybody here has had any experience with one of these. Supposed to be a good-sounding amp, but evidently Audiosource had some sort of problems with emmisions & was unable to market them. Can't beat the price anyway.

I actually picked up one of these amps when they first started posting them on Ebay. Couldn't resist the price either! I have used this amp for a variety of setups and I must say that it has performed very well. It has good power and what I think is a somewhat "warmer" sound. It has pushed rti12, rti6's, other various fronts and now I have it running my Svs 25-31. It has that Carver thump when you turn it off but I leave mine on all of the time now. Have fun with it!

I have never seen this amp before. I have a few of their other products which are solid, and I should check this out. The class T amp intrigues me. Class D/T amps have classicly been uses for subwoofers because of their characteristic above 150 Hz, but it sounds like they are decently designed. Good snag for a good price!

Just curious on this amp, if anybody knows what the 4 ohm output per channel would be? I have never been able to find that anywhere.

    Hasn't Tripath gone Tango Uniform?

I have heard that Tripath has gone Tango UIniform, but evidently the technology is still in use by other companies.

The link in chadjessie@hotm's post is the correct amp.

Default I've got two of 'em...

...powering my 1Cs. I haven't had any problems with them. Plenty of power. I wanted something different, but these were all I could get at the time. I'm planning to try out an ice power amp on the SDAs and to use the T amps for my center and surrounds later. No $ at the moment.:( Good luck.

Has anybody else tried one of these amps, I was thinking of getting one to power my RTiA7's, would I see an improvement over my Denon 3808's power?
