I can tell you that for the money and even twice the price they are hard to beat. They are very nice sounding. Congrats. What did they replace? and what are you powering them with?

Musicly they are a big step up from my RTi12's. They can produce so much more clarity and depth, A more natural sound you could say. In movies there range is perfect in every sense. These guys can get low and bass just pours out of them and at the same time the nautilus tweeter gives itself a workout. Also Now I can say I own B&W's!!!! I Love the FST also.

They got replaced by a set of RTi12's and they are being powered by a Denon 2307ci Bi-Amped.

I hope you mean they replaced the RTi-12's. I can tell you that with these B&W's you will notice things change as/if you make changes in your set-up. They reveal changes better then the RTi's. Enjoy as I'm sure you will and are.

    H-Town!

    hehe...

I like these speakers, I normally do not like B&W, but these look great. What is the rest of your system... those are demanding speakers. They look great though. I like the logo accent on the tweeter baffle. They look quite refined, and probably very expensive... that is a compliment.

Congrats. I had a similar experience when I upgraded from my Polk RT16's to the B&W CDM7NT's. Much more clarity, depth and speed. Make sure you are running a very good amp on the 683's, because the FST woofer eats a lot of power and can dip low in ohms when pushed. Having no rubber surround makes the driver react faster and clearer without bloat, but it takes some juice to get there. Enjoy.
