    Default Headphones?

I have been traveling more and I now have a use for a good set of headphones. These would be for travel only so I would like something that folds but I don't like the ear bud style. Any recomendations would be great.
All the local stores seem to be stuck on Bose headphones.

P.S. I am looking at sennheiser pxc 250.

Try Grado SR60. I just got a pair and they sound great! They have excellent reviews around the web and for $69 w/free shipping from Onecall or Amazon they're a great buy.

The Grado SR60 is an open design, sound will leak out and sound will come in (like airplane noise) You need to look for a closed design like the Sennheiser's HD 280 Pro, look around and have fun shopping, you think stereo folks are crazy, wait till you see these headphone crazies out there
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

When I was listening to them the other night my daughter said she could hear me from the other room. Good bass and the mids and highs are very nice. The beginning of Pink Floyd "Money" was awesome.

I have the non noise-cancelation version of this headphone, the PX200, and they indeed sounds good. However, if the smallish earcups doesn't seal with your ears, they'll sound horrible. Just a heads-up.

I had my Grado SR60 for about 10 years....awesome sound and a true bargain. Never had an urge to upgrade. And I use my headphones for most of my listening.

I actually got them in today. (SR60s) I haven't received my Bithead yet so I just tried them straight from the 'puter. I was really surprised. They sound great.

I have the Sennheiser PX200 noise cancelling headphones that I use for air travel. They work great and sound fantastic. They fold up and come with a good quality case. Absolutely love them.

I have Grado SR-80 and SR-225 also. I've found the SR-80's work good for movies, while the SR-225 work great with a ASL tube headphone amp.

I would second Sennheiser's HD 280 Pro, a nice feature is that they "fold" up for easier transporting. I use a set of these on my 2 channel rig. Stay away from the Bose, been there & it's terrible.

Headphone crazy?? Try a balanced headphone amp with a set of modified Sennheiser 650's. WOW

Ditto on the Senn's. They work well for my son, but they fit ok on him.
The AKG K26p tends to fit more people's ears well and are just about as good as the Senn's. Search on headphone.com for their reviews.
