The Rti8's are great speakers. Get a good sub and you'll have it all.

Wow, I hooked up the speakers with Denon AVR987, and the sound is impressive. Much better than the previous polk rm6700 system. The sound is more like 3D now. Loving it! What are the subs that should go with it? Thanks.

in Polk subs... the PSW 404, or PSW 505 would work great with your RTi8's. or you could step up to their newest subs.. the DSW pro series.. 500, and 600 ones would be killer. I've never heard the new DSW series of subs.. but they have some really great built in features.. like remote control :)

How many watts is receiver putting out?

I have some Rti8's 2 but with an onkyo 605.

I need one HDMI cable to the tv, so I went with what I got,

I'm guessing yours is a higher end receiver?

    I'm worried about under-powering the rti8's

My suggestion to you is to do a couple searches and you will come up with many, many threads on subs and the many, many recommendations that helpful forum members here have given.

I just got the Denon AVR987 receiver. The output is 110W/channel. I compared it with my older Denon and the difference is significant. Thank. I will search more on this forum for recommendation.

I'm looking for a budget sub as my room space is not big, and tight on budget with the recent purchase on the reciever and the speakers to replace the existing rm6700. Thanks.

Question on the receiver. Would you get the Marantz SR7002 or Denon 3808? I'm looking for a receiver that can last for 7+ years with good sound quality. Thanks.

Just got the marantz sr7002 and hooked it up with the RTi8. What a big difference I hear from my old Denon!! The bass was already stronger without the sub! Amazing!

wow, that's a $1600 receiver. I got a pair of RTi8 too, but I feel it's too bright and thinking about to return it. Is it what I need to drive these babies?

Hi i am new to this forum and i have a few questions about the rti8s. I just got them at fry's ( will arrive in the mail tommorrow) but reading other peoples post they say the 10's are better speakers is this true? I already have a velodyne vrp 1200 that rocks the house and i am thinking the 10's will give the whole system a little to much bass. I this correct or am i way off? I am new to HT and any help would be great.

do the 10's have a better mid sound or is the two mids on the 8's better. The main reason ive been asking is because i only have like a week to return the 8's
