back in the day.. i wore out so many album copies of Frampton Comes Alive.... on crappy gear that I had at that time.. but man this album defined a generation

Frampton Comes Alive become the best-selling live album of all time (up to that point), with eventual sales of over six million units in the U.S. and over 16 million copies worldwide.

Does anyone know if this piece still holds the title for #1 sales for a live album?
JMO but I think Frampton was ahead of his time with this album. I mean that in a + way.

Every vinyl copy of that album that I come across has been in bad shape, so unfortunately, I have to listen to the CD version when I want to get my Frampton on. I really don't enjoy his studio work, but Comes Alive, is simply masterful.

How about another great live album from that era. It wasn't nearly as popular as Comes Alive, but it got a lot of air time in the Detroit area.
See if you know this one:

Hey Reputa! Hey Reputa the Beauta, flip me down your hair let me climb
up to the ladder of your love!!

I think it still get aired at WRIF on a regular basis.

    Anyone?

My original LP is in near mint condition.(not mint only because it's been played) :p

I'm not from the generation that got "defined" by that album, but I might have a nice surprise for you billybill.
