Purchasing Store Speakers (Second Hand)

Just wondering if anyone would purchase second hand display speakers that have been used in a shop? I have the opportunity of purchasing some speakers and a home theater amp for around $700 off retail, should I be worried about anything???

I cant see how these products could be damaged in any way. Feedback would be appreciated.

Just like purchasing any other floor model. One question after you hear them. What about the warranty.

see if the shop will guarantee them for say at least 30 days.. just in case.. 30 day's isn't to much to ask..

Yeah they said they were only 2 months old but I am assuming that they would offer a good warranty, maybe upto one year. They did sound ok.

Check for pushed in tweeters and dust caps.

The speakers are Klipsch RF82 and the amp is Harmon Kardon AVR 245. The retails for these products is $2000 AU and $1200 AU respectively. I got offered to buy them for $2587. So I am thinking well there could not be much wrong with them......

I love a good deal! Like everyone said, as long as the warranty is still active and everything is in good shape jump on the deal.

As others have said, the warranty is the most important. Nothing wrong with display speakers if they are in good shape.

The only things I would be worried about is if customers smooshed in parts or blasted them with whatever under-powered receiver they might be hooked up to. Give them a good listen and inspection.
