    Default Proper cabling for RTi10

    It seems that with the jumper on (factory setting), the speakers are 4ohm speakers. If you bi-amp, then the separate speaker connections are 8ohms. So what's the proper way to connect these to a receiver that does not support 4ohms and does not have a bi-amping option? I have an HK AVR147 at the moment. I know this in not an optimal receiver for these speakers, and I'm waiting to upgrade. I just don't want to damage the speakers in the meantime.

    Using a multimeter to test ohm rating isn't really a good test.

    Your speakers are rated 8 ohm, leave the jumper on or replace it with speaker wire if you wish, they will work fine with your receiver.
