    Default Polk PSW10

I heard this sub at Circuit City the other day and was impressed by its sound quality. I am considering this sub for a secondary room system, with Polk RTi6 bookshelf speakers as the mains. Would this be a decent sub for a small system, or should I get something bigger? And will the sound match well (even though the Polk PSW10 is part of the Monitor series and the bookshelfs are part of the RTi series)?

Front projection, 2 channel, car audio... life is good!

I have the PSW10 hooked up in my bedroom paired with some older Klipsch bookshelves and am pretty pleased with it. I don't think a sub has to be matches with the rest of the speakers so I wouldn't worry about it being a good fit for the RTi's. There's certainly better subs out there but if you could get it cheap enough I think there's a good chance you'll be happy with it.

    That should work just fine.

    Thanks,

I'm just looking for a good sub for music (not loud or boomy by any means).

Not sure, I was considering going with the RTi6's without a subwoofer but I find that a sub fills in the low end nicely (when turned way down) so that it blends in with the music.
