    Default Speaker Tilt...

Where can I find those level doohickeys that tilt a center channel forward?

By forward I assume you mean downward. Have you considered using rubber door wedges? You know, the kind you put at the bottom of a door to keep it open. They're cheap and can be found at Lowes, Home Depot, or any hardware store. You probably only need 2 placed a couple inches from each side. Depending on the angle you're looking for depends on how far you slide them under the back of your center speaker.

I'm looking for the kind that mounts on the back of the speaker to tilt it "downward". And can be adjusted.

The bracket that mounts on the back of a center channel to tilt it down. You guys know what I'm talking about.

Cards would work but the diamonds interfere with the frequency responce. And I believe they resonate @ 15khz. So that wont work.

No..its a small braket that screws to the back of the center channel. It has one rubber foot and can raise or lower the back of the speaker

Like this or something like it.,... This guy uses it on a thin tv, but if used on a flat surface it will tilt the speaker downward.

I just dont know what its called or where to find one.

Well you see, my massively huge RPTV, sticks out, and you can see almost a 360 around the center speaker, well off to the side at least. I will see if I can find small door stoppers, if I cant find this peice. There are pictures of this particualr item, so I know it exist. Some center speakers, I have noticed, come with this adjuster already built on.

I believe your photo is of an NHT center. My NHT center has a foot just like that one. They came with the speaker and I have never seen them sold separately anywhere.

you could just buy a 2-channel system and not have to worry about it.

    Problem eliminated. Audio Nirvana.

If you insist then make your own bracket out of door style slide bolts.

Monopod. Is that what its called? I was going to get 2 and put one on each corner for stability.

I have a shelf thats the exact footprint under the speaker. But that is used so the speaker doesnt bowe the tv.

You have any pics of what you did? Maybe I could grab some ideas.

well if you wanna put something mono on your HT system go for it.

fyi I was doing multi channes when you were just a twinkle in your Daddy's eye. we just did not call it that, quadrophonic baby, pretty much sounded like ass though.

I still like my slide bolt idea which is much more original. Hell I outta market the little sum-bitches. Call'em the little Slide Sumbitches Speaker Stilts, say that five times fast, audiophile tested and include some pebbles.

Yeah with that ugly delay processor. My dad was in the HiFi buisness between 1974 and 1980. He tried the quad stereo. They actually had Matt Polk and his partner at the time (I forget what his name was), come down to Lafayette Louisiana (where my dad's store was) to display and show his Polk 7's. Then they all flew to Vagas for a show.

I still like my slide bolt idea which is much more original. Hell I outta market the little sum-bitches. Call'em the little Slide Sumbitches Speaker Stilts, say that five times fast, audiophile tested and include some pebbles.

Late to this post - but these doohickeys are an option.

I use these for my PSW303 on the wood floor to keep it from jiggling and waddling about and add a bit of isolation and tilt to my room:
