Default New TV is up and running

After nearly 2 years we have a new TV in the living room. I installed a 32" 16:9 Insignia LCD today with a low-profile wall mount and moved the Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-ray player from the theater to the living room and got it all up and running. The out of the box image quality is fantastic, can't wait to break out AVIA and touch it up. First movie we watched on the set tonight was Hellboy, Blu-ray. Of course I then had to spin my Kylie Minogue video dvd, WOW!!! She looks delish....

Right behind the wall I mounted the TV to is the coat closet so I'm using the top shelf for the gear, works perfectly, no wires or gear to be seen. I'm also going to build a wood frame around the TV and stain it so it kind of hides the TV, may even put some doors on it so the TV is hidden away.

Next up is to install the PS3 in the theater room.

    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

What are you going to control it with? Get yourself a nice RF remote to finish off your stealth system.
I hope you installed a outlet behind the tv. Running the tv's power wire threw the wall will void your home owners insurance. They are not cl3 rated and if you have a fire, your house is not covered. So if not do yourself a favor and add an outlet. You can also add a surge protector behind your tv to protect your investment. Monster and Panamax makes really nice units.

    Nice job man.

Cool setup! And, I really like the color scheme you've gone with since the kitchen cabinet remodel. Enjoy!

I have a Harmony 676 sitting collecting dust that I'll put to use. I also have a Monster protector I'm using now.

As for the outlet issue, I'll work on that. Right now the cord is running through the wall. Of course, with all the work done to my house over the years, the TV cord is a small, small issue.

Before I change anything I plan to have a contractor come out and install a new main breaker panel to the house. Mine is nearing 50 years old, it's time to go. Once that's done then I'll get everything else fixed.

    Thanks bro.
