MMC6500 and MMC690 in a 2007 Altima, a few questions

I am replacing my factory rear speakers with the MMC690's and I'm replacing the front door speakers with the MMC6500's. I have the base radio, am going to use the factory h/u (with a navone loc) and a 4 channel amp in the 70-100w rms range). My question is, does anybody know if mounting the tweeter high on the door (opposite the side mirror) and the woofer down low in the factory spot will cause me any problems with signal canellation? The only way I can mount them w/in 12" of each other is if I mount the tweeter lower on the door panel, say, near the door handle. Also, I am going to run the MMC6500's off of one channel per side (single mode on the crossover), does anybody see any problems with this? Lastly, what amps are recommended that won't break the bank (in the 70-100w rms range X 4 channels)? Sorry if some of the questions are foolish, but I would like to get it right. I just took delivery of the MMC690/MMC6500 speakers and 50' of 14g speaker wire. I also have the Navone LOC, now I just need the amp, and to hook it all up!

Nothing wrong with running the tweeters up high. I have my mids low in the doors and the tweets in the dash firing up. You wont get any cancellation because the mids and tweets are playing different frequencies.

As for amps, anything from Alpine, MTX, Kicker or Rockford Fosgate would be quality.

Thanks for the response MacLeod. If I run both L+R components off of only two channels (running the crossover in single mode), I'm guessing that the crossover will split the power to each speaker equally? So if I have a 100w X 4 channel amp, then the tweeters would get 50w each, and the woofers 50w each? Will that be enough power to let them shine? Again, sorry for the silly questions, just trying to "get it all together" before I start assembly.

As far as amps, I'm looking at one of these two:
Alpine MRP-F550 90W X 4 @ 4ohms
JBL Grand Touring Series GTO75.4 II 104W X 4 @ 4ohms

If you have a 100x4 amp and youre only powering a set of speakers (mid and tweet) off a single channel then yes, the tweeter would get 50 and the mid get 50. Thats a decent amount of power and plenty to get excellent performance out of your speakers.

Both those amps are fine. Im an Alpine man myself but there is nothing wrong with the JBL.
