    Question COLD weather

    hey it was really cold this morning and i just had some subs put in the other day, and i was just wondering, do i have to let the subs warm up before listening to them at moderate levels...i wouldn't want somthing to happen to them.

    Its not a bad idea..suspensions and surrounds are stiffer. The only subs I've ever seen have trouble with cold weather had foam surrounds, other than that I doubt it will make to much difference.

    I've never had anything with a rubber surround fail. Moderate levels shouldn't be any problem at all.

    Still wouldnt hurt anything to not start out whaling on them. Speakers are mechanical devices so a little warming up cant hurt.

    I'd like to mention he said moderate volume..not full board. Full volume would probably be very hard on a cold spider.
