    Default Bi- amp wiring question

Sorry for another newbie question (again) I am considering bi-amp wiring my RTI-A5's. My question is .. is it worth it? is there that much of an uprade of sound by doing this?

thanks in advance for everyone's input.

What are you using to do it? Are we talking about bi-amping on a receiver, or are we talking about a pair of amps? There is a big difference between the two, and dependent on which one, it may or may not be worth it.

Untill I finish building my HT room, I am considering using my Yam RX-V861 7 channel and bi wiring the rear surrounds to the front channels just to see if there is an improvement in sound etc. If it is better, than a seperate receiver will be bought when I reinstall the system in my HT room and go back to 7 channel. But if it isn't noticeable why bother? Currently I am setup in our family room temporarily.

I guess I am looking for success stories with this combination.

Again I am just learning all of this so my apologies if what I am asking has no right or wrong answer.

Personally,I don't think useing a receiver to bi-amp is optimal, but others might chime in and say differently.A receiver has a week amp section to start with, sharing the same power supply for all 7 channels. You should be able to run those speaks just fine off the Yammie.

Would bi-amping the RTi10's off of the Onkyo 705 be a big improvement? I would like to have a seperate amp to provide full juice, but that isnt exactly in my budget at the moment.
