I've never really understood why people are so fascinated by that.

Is this considered a mod or a tweak?

I'm gonna do it eventually, without blowing anything.

Four 8 ohm woofers in series gives you 450 WRMS total at 60 Hz, impedance neglected.

Voltage is fixed at 120 VRMS, frequency is 60 Hz.

Find the load, with that, find the current. Now you know how much power the socket is giving you.

    8 ohms = 1800 watts
    16 ohms = 900 watts
    32 ohms = 450 watts

Default The germans, albeit gay, still rock the 120v outlets!

I call it the world's most efficient and least expensive amplifier(or oscillator, if you must).

I remember years ago reading somewhere(Stereophile?) that Vandersteen used the 120V AC line to break in woofers.Apparently thay had dozens hooked up at once.

We used to do that all the time with custome returns when I worked at circuit city. Best was the Bazooka bass tubes cause they had the worst smell of any to them.
