I have been considering digging into my CS350 and changing it. Is there a silk dome replacement for the SL6001 tweeter? I really like the RDOs in my other speakers, and I'm looking for something similar...![]()

Not sure, good question for Polk CS.
I do believe that the silks used in the rtxxxi series are also provided/recommended as replacements for the trilams from the previous rtixxx series (the trilams are no longer available).
Perhaps these same silks are suitable replacements for the trilams in the CS350, as well as LS50/70/90?
I would be interested to know this too.

I found this Vifa 3/4" Polydome tweeter that would physically fit. SPLs are decent, it's 8 ohm, good reviews, and pretty cheap so it wouldn't be much of a loss if it didn't sound good. The only thing is F= 3500Hz-20kHz, so that might be kind of high, but I have to idea where that speaker is crossed. Also, it's a polydome so I wonder how it would match my RDOs...
I wouldn't let that Vifa crossover any lower than 2.5KHz at 12dB/oct. The resonance is a little high. Polydome shouldn't be a problem in terms of timbre.
Anyone know the crossover specifics on the CS350?
What about the silk/composite tweeter that is in the R series? It's not the best tweeter Polk offers, but it looks like physically it might fit and it might have a similar silk sound to the RDO.
