    Default DIY Power Cord

I am thinking about to do some power cord with WattGate or Furutech connector. Any suggestion for AC cable?

I recall Belden 83803 being popular on alot of forums, I can't remember if that is what is used for the Asylum power cord, or if it was another Belden variant. It can be had for $6.75/ft at Zebra Cables. I have bought lots of connectors and such from them, they are always well packed and ship quick.

I have also dealt a few times with VH Audio, Chris is a joy to deal with. Every item I have bought has come with a little signed thank you note in the box, very personalized touch.

You can probably find a new or used PC for the money and effort you'll spend on a DIYer. An entry level MAC, PS Audio, or Signal Cable will run you $50 - $60, or much cheaper if you buy used. That's been my experience, and I've made a few low priced cords DIY cords. Some of the connectors wary widely in price, and I'm not sure if it matters very much. I'm guessing the wire is what's most important.

Got Neotech today. Can you suggest which connector will get along with this.
Furutech FI11 vs FI15 which one is better?

I never tried the 15, but I did a few PCs with Furutech FI-11M/FI-11(Cu) which are very good.

The gold standard of DIY power cables, the Bob Crump AA PC uses Belden 19364. VenHaus is another solid DIY staple.

Where did you get the Neotech from and for how much? Did it come with the techflex?

Sorry I didn't check back. I got it from Sonic Craft for $14/ft + shipping. It comes with it techflex same length. I just pulled it back to see the letters on it.

For that price plus the cost of the ends I'd rather just buy it already made from Frank at SignalCable.com

That is what I did. Those cables are not shielded and giving me noise problem. Finally end up buying PS Audio Plus which has 3 shielding and it is way better than Signal.
I stopped planning to DIY the power cable and it is in FM now. I can't return it since they will give me back only as an store credit 20% less stocking fee and shipping back and forth.

Honestly, I have had great results using hospital grade connectors ($20-30 each). They are very study, inexpensive, and ultra reliable.
