I have a 3.1 channel setup for my 350 tp 400 sq ft hometheater room and I wanted to upgrade my Yamaha YST-SW305 subwoofer, so yesterday at Best Buy, I bought the Klipsch Snergy Sub-10 subwoofer. When I got home to try it out, the bass coming from it was very muddy, boomy, distorted and sounded like a very cheap subwoofer. Today on my lunch break from work, I went to Frys and bought the Polk Audio DSW Pro 400 subwoofer. I just tried out the DSW Pro 400 about a few hours ago, and I really like this sub. It has clean and smooth bass, and I did not hear any distortion coming from it. I feel that the DSW Pro 400 is in a league to two leagues higher then the Klipsch Syengry Sub-10. I will be returning the overpriced Klipsch subwoofer back to Best Buy and I will be selling my Yamaha subwoofer.
Here are the specs from my 3.1 channel setup when I done this comparison.
1. Sony DVP-NS700H DVD Player
2. Panasonic DMP-BD30 Blu-ray player
3. Yamaha RX-V1800 Receiver
4. Polk Audio CSi30 Center Speaker
5. Polk Audio RTi38 Front Speakers
