Default My visit to Audio Solutions in Indianapolis . . .

I listened to some B&W speakers and Dynaudios while visiting "AS". The sound was amazing! Unbelievable imaging by the Danes. The little B&Ws threw a sound that wasn't just amazing for their size but amazing for any speaker. There are only 250 pairs of the those B&W Signature Diamonds in the world. The cabinet is solid marble! They cost as much as the large Danes next to them! After this experience, I can pretty much guarantee McIntosh will be in my future. Also, the Mac turntable looks gorgeous up close. The marketing pictures seen elsewhere do not do it justice.

Which Dynaudios did you get the chance to listen to?

Thanks for all the pics! I think....

The big ones . . . the big danes were amazing. I think they are the Dane Confidence C4. I was amazed by the sound and actually a little relieved that it didn't put my own system to too much shame. That being said, the Dynaudio's are the best I have ever heard. The sound was complete and natural from top to bottom. Their setup gave me a lot of ideas to tweak my own. There's nothing like Mac tubes IMO.

Yep Confidence C4. Drooling on my computer...

Nothing like Mac tubes? I've prefered Audio Research Tubes to the Mac's I've heard. But I'm more of a fan of a good SS rig.

Danes! What can you say? Who made 'em? Some German must have been a ****in' genius. The tweeters... They say tweeters are everything, you know. Have you ever closed your eyes in utter darkness... just wanted to listen forever? Or woofers... and when they began pumping, were like... that first time you heard a tube preamp... after you just ran from the crap they sell at Best Buy. Tubes. Hoo-ah! Big ones, little ones, filaments staring right out at ya, like secret searchlights. Mmm. Real Wood Finish. I don't care if they're German Masterpieces . . . or vintage SDAs. What's between 'em...passport to heaven. I need a drink. Yes, sir, there's only two syllables in this whole wide world worth hearing: Sweetspot. Hah! Are you listenin' to me, son? I'm givin' ya pearls here.

these pics are very nice eye candy. Thank you for sharing, SS.

I wonder, what if, for **** and giggle, you can hook up a LSi15 in place of the C4. With that much arsenal and cablings, whether it would put the 15 a couple notches above what's possible (sound-wise)?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

SS, is that the significant other in sitting in the black chair?
If so, it's good she's involved in your hobby.
I've listened enough to the smaller Dynaudio to be impressed
by them. I'm sure the big guns are amazing.

Aww thank God! This is even better. I like the Danish. After that Rammstein video a few months back with all the men in an orgy I've been feeling more "off" than usual about the German people.

Sorry, didn't get to hear the Summits. I heard the Dane C4s, the B&W Sig Diamonds, the B&W 703s? (I think) and an HT B&W 600 series setup.

The owner asked me to stop by in 2 weeks to hear some real Martin Logans. Apparently they just got confirmation that ML's newest and largest loudspeaker will be shipped to them for demoing. I'm pumped. I forget the name . . . but it has no enclosures.

No that's actually my significant other's friend. The sig other was in the center chair. She wouldn't move after she heard how the Dane's sounded. I about died.

I just stumbled upon this place while we were walking to a Farmer's market around 11 a.m. I asked my girl if I could stop in to see what they had. I about shat. We stayed for a half hour (enough to convince my girl to come back). We stayed about 3 hours after leaving the farmer's market. This audio store was an excellent find hidden away in the suburban streets of Broad Ripple.

    One word. KEEPER!

It's sound like audio upgrades aren't going to be a problem.

Ehhhh . . . sooner or later she's going to want jewelry . . . and when she does, she'll say remember when you bought that $20,000 dollar set of speakers? It's all a setup.

Solid - you worked for A&F.. I'd suspect fugly Rammestein style male orgies were part of your daily routine..

Oh yeah, speaking of FUGLY - those new Logans. YEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeckk! They are perhaps the single worst looking piece of hi-fi I've seen. Hands down.

Good news, mine DOESN'T want any more jewelry. Bad news, she doesn't
    like my 2 channel.
In the long run, I'd take your option.

Second what Ricardo said about the Mac table. I mean, it's a Clearaudio table, eff it, just buy a clearaudio table.......

Dig the picture of the Mac 275. The thing that's surprising is how big that amp is in person.
