Default Anyone here from Little Rock?

I just accepted a job in Little Rock and my family and I will be relocating.

I start June 9th, but we have a house to sell so I don't know when we'll make the permanent move.

I'm looking for a short-term place to stay... a single guy who has an extra bedroom; somebody's grandmother or aunt who has extra space. I can't afford to pay the mortgage on the current house AND pay a big chunk on a rental down there.

I've been doing short-term contract work since I was laid off 14 (!) months ago, so we're pretty excited about the prospects and the move.

Any ideas or suggestions or help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Third bar stool from the can is open now at the Flying Saucer. Low rent. Cold beer. Close to the Clinton Library.

Seriously, Congrats on the job. My wife's family is from that area. Get out to the Ozarks. It's beautiful this time of year.

    Hi Mark,

I'm a good 2hr drive from LR, and I no longer have any family near there, so I'm not much help, directly. I do know some people there who might have some extra space so I'll check into it. There's someone on the forum from Conway, which is west of LR on I40. Perhaps they'll see this and respond. Care to say where you'll be working?

That is correct. 5th largest wireless company overall; largest network if measured in actual square miles.

So Jason, how do you like Arkansas?

For us, Little Rock is our second small state capital. We were in Jefferson City, MO for almost 9 years. It was only about 35k population.
