Looks overpriced for what you get.

500 bucks in parts, maybe the veneer jacks it 100 or so..

    IMO, it's real dated looking.

As far as aesthetics? or design?

As far as looks, it would be a perfect match to my speakers. The craftsmenship you have to see in person.

Hand finished, the works. They are beautiful speakers.

I don't like the cutouts near the bottom of the enclosure, looks tacky like something out of the 80's.

You may be right about having to see it in person because I don't feel the same about Tyler's floorstanders.

    IMO, that's the best feature.

I don't know why subwoofer manufacturers, esp. folks like Ty, don't build more subs that look like furniture. A great example is the ACI Titan (see pic). It looks like an a very nice end table. Most people wouldn't know it. But the new Tyler sub is a standard box. Even with a nice veneer, it looks cheap and uninspiring.

I agree here very much. I live less than 30 miles from Ty's place and have gotten the chance to meet him. He is a very nice guy and his speakers are just AWESOME. I mean, they sound as good as they look. I may make a trip over there again soon and perhaps take some pics this time. The Linbrook Sigs Monitors are the absolute best sounding speakers I have heard to date.

    Cheers,

    Phil
