Pot lights

No not grow lights... we have 3 lights on our 2nd flr which are the globe type that builders put in. How hard is it to install Pot lights. I know since they will be attached to the attic I need 1-lights,2-metal boxes and 3-vapor barriers. We had someone who has been promising to install them since Dec 07 (an electrician). Is it hard to do? I'd have to get my dad to do it due to my back. But just wondering, should we just fork over some cash to get it done and how long should it take someone who knows what they are doing to complete the install?

Are you talking about recessed can lights?

It is easy since you allready have the wiring there, be sure to get "old work, insulated cans" any electrical supply will know what you are talking about.

We just got done installing some for the first time. I can work my way through replacing switches and installed a ceiling fan, but don't have a great deal of experience otherwise. It wasn't that hard at all, just went slowly.
