Is there any software or other method (aside from abstaining) for protecting your ISP address if you want to upload a pic or video to youtube or any other site?

Wow, that's a huge number of people! What they are going to do is sue a few users to make an example out of them like the music industry did with Napster users.

You Tube is the best free advertising that artists have, I've discovered a bit of music through youtube and you can get great teaser clips of vids that you might want to buy.

Some artists are smart enough to capitalize on this and some aren't.

The ufc does take a beating on youtube, you can see most of the payperview fights within 24hrs.

I don't feel sorry for the UFC. If your JOB is to get kicked in the head, then good riddance.
Somehow I get the feeling it won't end here. Next up will be Facebook & My Space.
One of our fellow polkies has COPYRIGHTED music blaring on his page. I don't know how THAT works, but, I'm sure some WEASEL will find a way to sue over it!

    BTW, BLS rocks!:D

I really don't think they could do anything to anyone for uploading youtube stuff. They are pissing in the wind.

I'm only surprised that it took this long. How YouTube can expect to keep copyrighted material on their site without someone taking action is actually quite surprising. What if I started hosting DVD movies, or whole TV episodes on my website, how long you think it would stay up?

YouTube videos get pullled all the time for copyright infringement. It's not like they're "getting away with it." The majority of YouTube traffic is not copyrighted works.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
