I was just checking out those on ebay also. As much as I like marble, they don't look good. And the custom woodwork on the sides may be well done, but looks like something out of the middle ages... And when I'm going to buy a pair of speakers like that from you, I'm not going to calculate in the "$200 worth of SS hardware" into the final sale price. Great speakers, but not a good modification; just my .02.

These will go perfect in my kitchen, between the dishwasher and stove.

    What are some people thinking?

I don't think this is the first time they have been up for sale on Ebay either!

As a owner of RTA15TL'S....all I can say is, what a damn shame. I guess in the end though, its whatever makes you happy.

They might be easy to redo, but for not for that price, no thank you. Since they are in my area, I'll be interested if they show up on CL or anywhere else in they don't sell today.

I would have to watch it again, but I believe they were in the Captains Quarters on 'The Black Pearl'. Aaargh Matey!

And what are the D-rings for? Do they use a hoist to move them around? Ugh!

I'm glad I just chose black Formica to replace the original tops on mine....

It's definitely a unique idea, but looks terrible.
