Question - How to set up dual Subwoofers? -

What's the best way to use 2 subwoofers? My pre doesn't have 2 sub out.
And where is the best placement? 2 in front? stacked? 1 front, 1 back?
    Y-splitter?
    1 sub-out to another?
    Thank you.

Grab a Y-splitter. The best placement of the subs is really going to be room dependant, usually the corners work best. Stacked in a corner usually yields the most gain.

Like MKZ said depends on your room. what i would do for hooking it up though is put a y splitter at the pre out 1male end to 2 female ends run the 2 cables to where ever you have them place put another y spliter on each subwoofer - 1 Female into 2 males. if that makes since. i dont know the proper term for it but have L and R inputs used makes it a lot louder. i believe it is more Gain

If you're using 2 subs in the same airspace covering the same passband, make sure they're the same model subs.

No, its not. Would it be a problem? They both are sealed sub. SVS SB12 and Velodyne SPL.

Well the effect isn't as bad with 2 sealed subs (opposed to ported subs with different tuning box frequencies), but still 2 different model subwoofers have different frequency responses and other factors. Some subs (especially digital models) may introduce a little bit of delay which may not be exactly in sync with the other sub. At some points, the subwoofers will reinforce each other, at other times they'll cancel each other out creating a jagged response throughout the room.

If you already have the subs, go ahead and try it out. It won't break anything. See how you like it.

    One more question:
Should I put the velo behind the couch?
I'm asking because I have to buy long length cable.
