    Default On the search for....

    modern rock (ie - incubus, disturbed, linkin park) cd's which are recorded well.

    I notice most rock cd's are harsh and very bright. Any of you find anything to that musical nature which sports decent intelligable quality ?

    ATC - not very many modern rock listeners on this forum but i can name some- -
    Cold -actually HDCD
    Flaw
    Hobastank
    New Korn cd
    linkin park -reanimation dvda(no reviews on the entire internet WTF, finally the brand new Sound and Vision mag said it basically blows away any dvda on the market - I own it and I have to agree)

    Not at home so I will have to get u some more.
    PS3 and HD Front Projection, life is good. Too bad Blu-Ray and the PS3 are already obsolete.....

    Most Rob Zombies stuff espcially the last three albums
    Marilyn Manson - Mechanical Animals (very good sound - (even some Pink Floyd influeince on this one)
    No offence Mx but except for POM and Nickelback your other picks are very "muddy" cd's.

    Scott,

    Thank you for the run-down. I have heard some of COLD's music and enjoy the accoustics quite a bit. Hoobastank is another album which I intend on purchasing in the near-future.

    If I only had the funds and the room to afford a multi-channel rig and a DVD-A player to throughly enjoy what that format has to offer. Linkin Park ranks up there as my favorite modern band, I can only imagine what that sound is like. I may end up purchasing that dvd-a just to have it.

    ATC - u have a nice DD HT rig, right?
    Buy the Linkin Parks DVDA because the 5.1 DD on it is freaking awesome. And some video's to boot. Trust me!!!:)

    Scott,

    I wouldnt call the Home Theater rig nice. I set up a cheap one for the parents - Polk Rt100i's, rt15i's, pioneer reciever.

    I dont believe it would do the Linkin Park DVD-A much justice.

    Someday, I will enjoy what those formats have to offer. Just not today Im afraid.
