1.2TL oak sides

How are the oak side strips attached? The right side piece on my left speaker is bowing in the center. The piece is flush top and bottom, but bulges out gradually until it sticks out about 1/8" in the center. None of the other sides do this. I've seen some pics here somewhere showing the entire side being removed, but I don't remember anthing about how the oak strip attaches to it.
