Default Check out my build of the SOHA headphone amplifier

For the DIY hardware folks here is my website on building a SOHA headphone amplifier. It's got a tube! Sounds fantastic. Soon I will build an amp capable of driving my SDA-1C's.

Sounds fantastic! I tried a few tubes before I settled on the GE 5963. Lots of bass and a full sound stage. Listening to Miles Davis "Bags Groove" right now using Sennheiser 515 headphones!

All links to kit and info is at the bottom of my website.

Bottom line this was all part teaching myself electronics so that I will eventually build all my own 2 channel stuff. It's funny that by buying a sweet pair of Polk SDA1C's from Craigslist a few months ago for $100.00 and next thing I know I'm teaching myself how to solder with the ultimate plan of building a rig capable of really making them sing! Polk rocks!

    Well done.

For a big and inexpensive power amp, consider using multiple LM3886T chips in a master and slave configuration.
