    Default Not sure...

    Hi,

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I need to get a pair of floor speakers (am putting up a new system for my hall). I dont have a TV, just for audio. Am thinking of getting the Denon AVR 1708 with Polk Monitor 50 and a subwoofer.

But then I heard the JBL ES 90, and it sounded much better. Is the Monitor 50 mainly for TV or for plain audio? Of course, there is a huge price diff between the monitor 50 and ES 90.

Who are the high end speaker manufacturers?

    Thanks,

    Vern

Look at the Polk RtiA and Lsi series for serious audio.

Welcome to Club Polk. How much are you willing to spend. If it's a good amount, by all means look into getting a pair of LSI's & a separate amp/prepro from Emotiva, or Outlaw audio.
