I'm hoping you all might have an idea of what surround speakers would be a good fit for my setup. I just finished the basement and am out of funds and will be for quite a while. My wife has been a good sport but I'm being cut off, financially.
This is what I've been able to cobble together so far for sound:
Center - Lsic
Fronts - Lsi7
Sub - HSU VF-2
Recvr - Denon 3312
Amp - 1 Emotiva upa1 for the center
The Lsifx are hard to come by, are more $$ than I can spend now, are harder to drive and might require an additional amp, are big. So, I'm looking for other options for surround speakers even though I know it's not optimal. Budget is $200 - $400
I googled but didn't find many suggestions. Oh, and the back of the room is open to the rec area so I'm looking atside speakers unless I go in ceiling. I'm considering
Polk FXi A4 -
Polk 80 ls/fx - in ceiling is not my first choice but cold work
Magnepan – mmgw $325 - 4 Ohm - hard to drive
Mirage Omnistat - not sure of the models
ANy ideas on how any of these would match up, would perform as side speakers? Any and all suggestions welcome.
