    Default POLK LSI 7's

Great deal on some LSI 7's in the Madison Wisconsin area. RUN.....RUN....
I talked to the seller and he says they're in great shape. I wish I didn't have to go to work.

I just e-mailed the seller. I'm about an hour away. That's a good enough deal that I'd be willing to drive and get them. I'm guessing they are sold, but who knows.

Just got off the phone with the seller and he has someone coming by tonight to look at them. Is that your Leroy? :D. I told him I'd call after the person left this evening to see if they were still available.

Aren't you missing a shipped pair of 7s?
What if they are in a box with your home address on it?
    Do you
    A. Beat the guy senseless and take the speakers.
    B. Tell him there're yours and take them without paying.
    C. Buy the speakers and plot your revenge.

No he told me the same thing. Lucky I'm a hour away or I would've been their with $175 already.

Heiney9 where are you located. If you get them I charge a 10% finders fee:D

    good luck.

That's completely insane! For $150 you would expect to get a decent pair of RT or RTi speakers, not LSi. Hopefully the guy that looks at them tonight will have no idea what he is confronted with and will decide his wife will not like the color or something. These should belong to a Polkie. Maybe one of the best deals ever on CL.

Yes, I am missing a pair. I guess it's easier to edit my sig than to buy a pair :p. I'd pay the man because if he can beat the system and re-route a package some 80 miles from it's destination he deserves something for his ingenuity.

I did get a full refund (minus paypal fee's). Effing paypal got paid twice on the transaction; once at the sale and once at the refund. What a scam.

Rockford, IL. He's up near Black Earth, WI which according to Google is NW outside Madison proper. It's a bit farther than I first thought. I bet they don't make it past the first buyer. Helluva bargain.

If I got these, it would solve my center channel problem. The LSiC is not nearly as deep as my CSi5 - so it would fit on my mantle :D

Umm......I was calling him after the person coming by at 6:00 leaves. I talked to him at 2:00 this afternoon. Not sure how to this is going to work. I suppose since Leroy posted he has first right of refusal. Not trying to make this a big issue. I guess I might automatically loose because I'm the farthest away and wouldn't be able to get there until tomorrow evening.

Not sure 3 people all in the same area on the Polk Forum have gone after the same item on Craigslist.

Heiney....didn't think after you saw how far it was that you'd make the drive. As far as I'm concerned, you saw and called him before I did, so you get first dibs. If you pass, I'm all over it;)

That's cool. I'll let you know. The seller is really nice. He just called me to say the "student" who was supposed to show up at 6:00 was going to be late, his ride couldn't get him there until later. We are going to touch base in the morning and if the student didn't show up or didn't buy them he promised them to me and I'll drive up after work to get them.

That's the way things should be done. I didn't even leave my phone number he must have gotten off caller ID and called me back. I thought that was very classy of him since I was the "next" person showing interest.

Hopefully things will work out in my favor this time after UPS lost my last pair of LSi 7's.

Are you playing games :p. Or did he really call you? I thought he and I had an understanding. He even told me if he didn't sell them tonight he wouldn't sell them out from under me. He knows I have to work and can't leave until the end of the day. If I left now it's about 2 hours each way. It was he who said he had to wait until 9:00 tonight for the kid to show up, otherwise I would have gone after work tonight.

Did he really call you back and say first come first serve?

No. He can sell them however he wants but he told me in our phone conversation he wouldn't do this. Don't give someone essentially your word and then spend all night making phone calls trying to undermine it.

It's a long distance for me to travel and if he's just going to sell them out from under me I hope he tells me before I leave town.

I think he had so many people call about them he just said what the he'll first come first served. It's kind of hard to sell something while trying to hold it for people in line. I did want them but thought they would've been gone because of the first buyer. I want them but I don' t need them so I would like to see it go to a polkie that really needed them. Personally I think they will be gone by the time you get off work unless you Send him a partial payment via paypal to hold. I was going to go in the morning around 9 but I will hold off.

I understand but what gets me is he's going against his word. I'm big on doing what I say I'm going to do. $150 isn't a lot of money to be out while being true to your word. It's a day essentially. Plus had I known he was going to do this I would have made the effort to go tonight. He told me no because he had someone looking at them.

If Jonesy would do that; that would be awesome. Then I could drive up and get them from him.
