Setting up psw404 sub location in Home Theater

I have to set up my home theater. I think it is easier to use the LFE and hook up the fronts to the receiver as opposed to polks way when I move the sub around to test the best location. Can anyone comment on using LFE, hooking everything directly off of the reciever (easier to move equipment around vs. wires everywhere with Polks way) for testing, then when I find the best spot switch to using Polks method? (receiver fronts to sub, sub to fronts)

Any other comments on the psw404 and locations or LFE vs. polks way would be appreciated. Thanks.
