Default a few pictures from Polk Fest 08

It's late and tomorrow will be a full day of nothing but eating, drinking, more eating, some listening to SRT's, more eating.. some more drinking. I think you get the point.

    Ok. on to the pictures.

These are only afew as it's el late-o and I need some sleep. The Friday tour was top notch as always. The entire team at Polk Audio HQ rolls out the red carpet to Polkies each time we take the tour.

Ok, on to the pictures.. ;)

Well, all good things must come to an end.. after being in Bawltamawr for 4 days. it's time to leave town and head home.

I just want to say once again what a great time everyone had at Polkfest 08'. I can't even begin to thank everyone that was involved in helping to put this event together and how many hours it took.

Big thanks have to go to Al Ballard for hosting the Saturday gathering at his house as well as being our emcee on Friday. Al you rock is all I have to say.

I'll be posting and writing more once I hit the airport and have some time to upload the pictures.

Since we have about 1,000000000000 threads started with many many pictures of PF08 already.. I think i'll see if Mark (Doro) wants to start a system showcase where he can post all the pics I took.

Here is one that for me at least is what Polkfest means. Making a new friend. :)

I had no problem understanding Russ. Unless he was mumbling a wisecrack to Dave or Lou with the rest of us Jersey hooligans in the back of the room. But Russ was a fun dude to hang around and I hope he makes it to more events, just like I hope I can make it to more events.

I'll vouch for Russ being a cool dude. Of course, I want to thank him again for picking up Dave (aka Gimpy, Hopalong, the kickball warrior.......I can go all day on this) along the way. There was no way Dave could drive, so Lightman picked him up along the way.........not only allowing Dave to attend Polkfest, but to also allow me to see my good friend who doesnt live so close to me anymore. Thanx brotha!

Funniest Russ moment as he was staying in my Hotel room?

    scene.....me leaving the bathroom

Russ asks "is it ok in there?"
I respond "yeah dude, its alright"

Russ goes into bathroom....."uuuuuaaaaaagh!!!!!!!" and starts dry heaving. "you need to see a fu*king Doctor for that man!!!!!!!!!!"

Dave and I must have nearly laughed ourselves unconscious for at least 15 minutes after Russ left the room (assuming to use the hotel bathroom in the Lobby area).

    Lou,

I hope those pants can be repaired.

Funniest Lou moment when told he had ripped the back of his jeans; not on the center seam but in the upper buttocks region of one of the legs

"Fat people like me don't usually rip their jeans there; they usually rip right down the middle". Then he sat down (like nothing happened) and enjoyed the VM30's and dual MicroPro's.

Effing hilarious. It was nice to finally meet you Lou.

If you mean the lady infront of the employee entrance, that's Jenny Suskind- Creative Director, tourguide and Mark Suskind's wife.

tell me about it. I heard the rip. went to the bathroom and felt along the middle seam and all felt well......not knowing the back of the rt leg was blown apart. I actually bought those jeans a size to big and they were only a week old and washed once.

will be bringing those bad boys back to the store and raising hell. They definitly can't be repaired where they ripped.

cool meeting you too bud :)

Man, this is just like the jstas iced tea incident from '05. I completely miss it when it's happening, and then hear all about it when I get back. Only this time, I'm glad I missed it in person :p

Thats ok Lou I can take it. Thanks again to Russ for the ride so I can attend. I dont think that he will ever be the same after the bathroom incident. Although when we left to head home the mexican food hit him and drove us right out of the car. You know its bad when you gag on your own fart.
