power questions (speakers)

im going to get 2 pairs of 120 wrms speakers (4 all together) which are all 4 ohm.. i wanted to know whether or not this would be good to match it with a 4 channel amp of 60 wrms (4ohm) ...

would it be good for long term blasting (considering i hear really loud music for continuous hours)

Depending on the amp, it might would be ok. If its a brand known for good clean power and accurate ratings it should be just fine. Also I would look at the sensitivity of the speakers. The higher the sensitivity the easier it is to push. Meaning if your speakers are rated at 93db sensitivity, it would be easier to power them than say speakers rated at 88db sensitivity. There are a lot of knowledgable guys on here who might agree or disagree. Hope I help you out some. I am running a kicker 4 channel amp with infinity kappa perfect components and speakers and there is about a 35w disparity btw amp and speakers, spearkers are rated at about 120 rms, amp is rated at 85 rms per channel and they sound great.

If your speakers are inefficient than 60rms may not do well, there are many factors involved such as....

Sound deadening
Speaker efficiency
Actual amplifier output
Placement
ETC.

It would work but you would be better served going with something more in the 100 watt per channel range.
