I wooted! WOOHOO!
Seriously though. I saw that this morning. Quite cheap on a decent thumb drive. Glad they still had some left when I got there.
If anyone here does any kind of computer support for a living, a GIGANTIC thumb drive like that comes in handy more often than not. I can't count the number of times I had to dump an entire backup image on to a thumb drive for one reason or another.
I know I'm not breaking new ground on this, but it really amazes me that you can have a 16GB thumb drive, or a 4GB microSD card. I remember my first hard drive, a 5.25" hard drive that was 540MB and considered very large for its time, and that was only... maybe 14 or 15 years ago? Just amazing.
Agreed with what Jstas said, having a large thumb drive is invaluable in any sort of support capacity.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
4GB MicroSD cards are soooo Christmas 2006!
I have a 6GB MicroSD card in my phone and over the weekend, I just got my girl an 8GB MicroSD card for her phone.
It turned my BlackBerry from a "SmartPhone" into literally, a hand-held computer.
You could run Win XP off that drive...
I've been keeping an eye on the SS Hard Drive market as well, can't wait for those to come down in price. I'm hoping that the Intel X25-M hits the street at a reasonable price, those are slated to come out in 80 and 160GB versions I believe...

I just purchased a San Disk 8G thumb drive the other day for $20. Neat things to have. I also have a couple of 8G CF cards for my camera. Portable storage is cheap these days

I'm not kidding my first Hard drive was 5.25" 1" which I considered small at the time... This was get ready 300mb which used RLL which gave it 50% more space because the normal way was 200mb. 300mb was huge those days as my computer had 640k :)
I see a day where flash drives will replace Hard drives for good. Heck I only need 20gig or so and I be good this is just under the space I usually fill.

New Egg rocks!!! I've bought so much stuff from them lately. I got a 4G Corsair thumb drive for like $11 w/free shipping a month or so ago.
I don't even go into Best Buy anymore to shop for computer related stuff. New Egg always has it cheaper and if you are willing to wait they always have a "free shipping" option.
I also bought an HP Laser printer (small light duty B&W) for $83 free shipping. Best Buy had the same Model for $179.

"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass

I like newEgg as well, but stores like best Buy and Fry's still have their place, even for computer stuff.

Oh yeah, my first hard drive was 40 MB! :p
Here's my frst system (I've been writing them down): 286 12MHz, DOS ver 4.01, 1MB Ram (expanded later w/ 2MB card), 40 MB HD, 14 in green monochrome monitor, 1200 baud modem (later upgraded to 2400 baud modem), Epson bi-directional dot matrix printer, $1800.
Crazy.

I dunno if its texas only, but under the coupon code type in "taxsucks" and it took off $5 for me. Tax was $3something as I bought 2. I dunno if it increases as you cart gets larger.

EDIT: It takes off $5 for orders $45+ for texas and missouri residents.
