    Default Vehicle Performance Computer

What are some of the brands of the little gadgets that measure g's, accelleration, 1/4 mile times etc. in a car? Also, how accurate are they?

I'm thinking one would be a fun little gadget to have but dont' know if they actually work and what brands are out there. Thanks!

We just tested one on a cell phone. If you have a Nokia,or any other Symbian Series 60 phone with GPS, you can use the same software.

Depending on how hard your car takes off and shifts, G-Techs aren't too bad for quarter mile times. I find they are usually fast by a tenth or two and five miles a hour. But if you have a stick or something that launches very hard, it will affect accuracy.

I've got a 2007 Infiniti G35S mn6 (306hp, rear drive, limited slip) So, it will take off pretty hard but it's not Z06 or anything. G-tech is the brand name?

there are programs for iphone as well, Dynolicious is the most popular one, g tac is another one. Dynolicious is supposed to be accurate, I don't know about the others and I have no experience comparing them to time slips from a drag strip.
any of them would be great for seeing differences in your rides performance with different mods as they should be pretty consistent or just to have a little fun.
