I'm trying to finalize my PA500.4 installation and I've been getting some static noise. I've been reading about grounding and wanted to ask a couple questions.
My battery is in the trunk so my battery to car, amp to car and power distribution block to car are all within a couple feet or less of each other.
I've read that the amp grounds should be short but not too close to the battery, do you think this or the power distribution block is causing the problem?
I've also read that when doing the "Big Three" you should ground to the frame not the body. all of my grounds are into the trunk floor with the metal brush raw, is this adequate?
so any suggestions on fixing my noise problem would be greatly appreciated.
System consists of PA500.4, sr6500's, knukonceptz 12 gauge bi amp speaker wire, knukonceptz 0/1 gauge power and ground ( 4 gauge power after the dist block), knukonceptz Krystal RCA Kables, stock nav/head unit and PAC C2A-CHY to provide 4 channels of outputs.
PS. on a side note: I bought two RCA's thinking I would use one for the sr6500's and one for my PA1200.1 and SR124DVC (not installed yet) but then realized that if I'm going to Bi-amp my speakers I need two rca's and a 3rd one to run from the PA500.4 output to the 1200.1 input. is there a way to only use one rca for the front stage bi-amping otherwise half my front stage is being run off of the rear two channels and screwing with my fade and balance control?
