Upgrade to Monitor 70's any thoughts

Currently I have the following set up:

Reciever - HK AVR225
Front- RTi38's
Center - CSi40
Rear - R50's
Sub - SVS 20-39 PCi

The R50's were my first set of speakers i bought about 5 years ago. They were like $100 for the pair. While they are not the best speakers they have worked for the past 4 years. They got switched to the rear when i bought the RTi38's because the RTi's sounded better upfront.

I would like to buy the Monitor 70's and put them in the front and the Rti's in the rear. The R50 would be taken out of the set up and moved to the game room for later use. I found a good deal on the monitor 70's $358 for the pair shipped.

How will the monitor 70's work in my proposed set-up? Will my AVR 225 be able to run the monitor 70's or will i need to get another amp? Also could I use the amp that is on my SVS sub?

I would look at another set of RTi's. You can get smoking deals on them at newegg.com , and they ship for free a lot too.

What kind of deals do they usually have on the RTi on newegg?

I have the 70's and enjoy them very much. Got a similar deal on mine at CC, and with my CS2, Monitor 40's and PSW125 have a very well rounded system. Just watched Hancock on Blu-Ray last night, it sounded amazing!! I have the Onkyo TX-SR806 which pushes 135W per channel, the HK you have only pumps out 55W according to the information I read and the 70's are rated from 20W-275W whereas the 38's are rated from 20W-150W. In that case I would go with a new set of RTi's or upgrade your receiver to give the 70's a little more power, or hooking them up to the SVS would be an option too, but I'm not sure of the power output on that sub's amp. Again, I love my 70's, but it is up to you.
