Default Replacing series vs parallel caps

When you look at some pretty nice crossovers by some good manufacturers like JM LAb/Focal you see that they use a nice quality series caps but the parallel caps are much lower grade electrolytic. So why does everyone here seem to recommend high(er) dollar caps all around? Just a question. I am not disagreeing.

    System: MF Trivista SACD > Placette passive> CJ passive horizontal bi-amp> MF 2500A(LF) MF2100(HF) > 1.2TL's

    Other: Speltz silver Eichmann IC's & speaker wire, Econotweaks Detail Magnifiers, PS Audio P-300(source), R. Gray 600, Al Sekala's AC R/C filters, R. Gray HT PC's, Oyaide R-1's,WPC-Z , M-1, Herbie's & DIY Isolation
    Room: Qty 7 - 4' tall 18" diam. bass traps, Qty 4 - 4' X 2' X 4" panels. All DIY - man my wife is tolerant!

Series caps have a much greater influence on sound. For parallel caps in the LF section I still use film caps, but not always of the same quality as series caps in the tweeter circuit.

There are also a few other factors. Sometimes very large values are needed in the LF circuit, so electrolytics are used because they are much smaller and much cheaper.

    For example:
