I usually have two ice trays I fill up every 1.5 days to two days. This is either from soda drinking, or for ice water, or to ice my coffee or tea. However, today as I finished my Coke I found I had roughly 1-1.5 inches of little ice cubes left in the glass.
I immediately started going at it with a vengeance. Around the third ice cube it occurred to me that chewing ice is terrible for teeth. I'm chewing ice right now. But I think my ice is special. No really, after it chilling my coke for a while they have all melted into half or less of their first size and are very very very easily chewed. Its like soft ice.. but its not soft, it just explodes with ease. I love it. Further, I love the taste of water here in Chicago. At first it was like coke flavored ice.. but soon the coke was gone and only natural H20 goodness remained. This ice also has textures, one part of it is smooth and another side of it might be very rough and almost.. porous.
After a few minutes I realized I was seriously getting into it so I had to google this. I found that people who chew ice may have iron deficiencies or more specifically be anemic. Regardless, I don't do this too often.. or do I? Usually if there are leftovers I go at it. Really, I just like frozen water in everything. Ice cubes are luxury that did not really exist 200 years ago.. except for maybe the eskimos. Awesome.
Anyhow, I've just finished all my ice. So, does anyone else chew their ice? Sorry for the crap thread and the precious time I've stolen from you.
