Default Thumbs up for the Sub Dude

I picked up a Sub Dude based on some good hype in threads I've been reading.

Wow - it really did make a difference in SQ in my setup.

I've got my Epik Valor sub on my hardwood floor, on the front wall about 1ft away.

On the hardwood floor I was getting some good bass, but not as musical as everyone was claiming the Valor was capable of.

As soon as I put the Sub Dude underneath - noticable improvement in 'musicality' - cleaner definition of bass notes.

Does this make me a 'tweaker'?? :D

H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.

    I think you'll notice a difference - bass notes are tighter/more distinctive.

I'm using two of them with my Velo subs...wouldn't be without them. I've got pics of them in the 2 channel forum under "Dual" Velo's & pics. They really do make a world of difference, even on carpet.

I was looking for something like this for my micropro4000 which has a passive sub on bottom and during peaks you can hear it hitting the carpet.

I tried a piece of floor tile 18x18 and it walks off of it. This sub dude might work for me.:)

Just a FYI for anyone looking at them, they have a bunch of different ones in different sizes.

The GRAMMA is the same as the Subdude just a different color, some places have one cheaper then the other.

There is also the Great GRAMMA which is bigger then the GRAMMA, and Subdude HD which is smaller.

Does this work with any sub. Would like my Velo DD15 benefit from one of these? It is on a thick carpet.

Yes, it will work with any sub. I'm sure any sub would benefit from one of these, it made a substantial improvement for me since mine were sitting on a hard wood floor.

I wonder how something like this would work for mains on hardwoods. I have a set of Martin Logan Sequel 2's on hardwoods, and I cant help but think these platforms may be a beneficial tweak.

If anyone has any experience with them in this regard, let me know.
