    Question Polk Cs 350ls

Hi to all , i am somewhat of a newbie on here since i've nevere posted until now . My question is i have a Polk cs 350ls that i just purchased recently and at low volume the left two 4.5 mid-woofers have a buzz (mostly the outer one) . When i turn up the volume it goes away . I know this speaker is rated from 10 to 250 watts , am i not driving it enough causing the buzz . I live in an apartment building so i cant shake the walls late at night . Im using a Sony DB930 110 watt x 5 driving a pair of SDA 1's for stereo music and monitor 10b's for L/R the Cs350ls in center and paradigm titan's for surround with 2 Cerwin Vega 12" 150 watt sub's in home theater mode . Any help is appreceiated , Thanks much . Mon10b

well, I am not sure about your set up you are driving SDA and the 10B's with your receiver? Have you or can you try a different center speaker to see if the sound is still there? You say it goes away at volume, but could it be that it is there but you can no longer hear it?

I think you misinterpered what i wrote . I use the SDA's for stereo music only , when i go to home theater mode i turn them off and turn the rest on . Yes i do have another speaker for the center it is a Cerwin Vega ec-76 . Which sounded perfectly good . I happened to get a deal on the Polk and thought i would give it a try . Is it possible that 1 or 2 of the mid woofers is blown on the left side ? Can i get replacements for them ? Thanks again , Mon10b

Replace the center with a different speaker and see if the sound (hum) goes away. Or simply swap speaker wires on the reciever. Was the Polk center dropped? I've seen the magnets on the back of the woofer shift slightly to rub on the voice coil which is noticable at low volumes and it takes a very good ear to hear at normal listening levels.
    My $0.02
    Thanks, Jeff...
