    Default PSW650 on external amplifier?

Is it possible to bypass the internal amplifier on the PSW650 and use an external amplifier? What would the load be, and how much power could I give it?

I may be acquiring a Parasound 1500 which is rated 205x2 at 8ohm, 315x2 at 4ohm, and 630x1 at 8ohm. How would this work?

Anything is possable - u could rip the plate amp off and what not.
    The real question is WHY????
PS3 and HD Front Projection, life is good. Too bad Blu-Ray and the PS3 are already obsolete.....

its a very expensive subwoofer, if you get a amp use it for mains or something.. or get a better sub. what could be lacking from a dual subwoofer sub with a huge amp on the back??

the psw650 is a very nice sub, disableing amps and stuff kinda defeats the purpose.. its setup to handle said watts.. you add more you run into problems and sound is another issue.. you gonna add a crossover also? after you disable the inerts

I already have the PSW650. I am going with a 5.1, but may be getting 7 channels of amplification since I'll eventually go 7.1 when I have a larger room. Wouldn't the sub sound better with a larger, better amp? Is there a way to defeat the internal amp?
