    Question polk momo 15 sealed vented ?

    hey i have a pair of polkmomo 15 svc4 ohm running to a alpine MRD-M1005 box specs are the question vented ive herd is not a good way to go true or false? i know vented spl sealed sq but i dont want the cone to bust due to some stuff ive read online

    Use a sealed box. Sealed boxes allow for better power handling from the sub as there is more re-enforcement from the air. Plus they sound better, have a flatter response curve and are more forgiving of design/build flaws.

    I agree with MacLeod but some have had great luck with vented enclosures and their goal was SQ. It takes more work but it's doable.

    Have you thought about IB setup? I don't even know if those subs are spec'd for IB, just curious.

    well i have built vented boxes with slot ports not round but polk says round i dont know what to do i need to figure it out subs arrived yesterday! ib if allso referd ar freeair ? if so no i dont think they are how about bandpass?
