    Default Surroundbar 50 amplification

    Hi,
In specs for Sb 50 is said that "Recommended Amplification" should be 150 watts/ch. I understand this as a statement towards many manufacturers claims about theirs products achieving 130W/ch or 150W/ch, but in reality peaking 80-90W/ch (at their best) in multichannel at 8 ohms.

Just checking if I'm right, and my 6.1, true 90W/channel system will be more than enough ...

    greetings
    Piotrek

I'm glad I found this thread! I was also concerned about this. I have a surroundbar50, and I'm in the process of upgrading my receiver. I narrowed my choice to an Onkyo SR606 (90w/ch) or an Onkyo SR507 (80w/ch)

I just ordered yesterday the Onkyo 507 because I found a good deal, but I was a little bit worried about the receiver not being able to 'fill' the room. If it helps, my family room is about 12'x12'
